Ipswich Maritime Trust - Window Museum

A special construction display case that is 3 metres high x 5 metres wide by 1,5 metres deep constructed to look like a shop (museum) window yet meeting high curatorial standards.
The case is located externally to the building and adjacent to the quay side to allow 24 hour viewing of display objects
Illumination is with dimmable fibre optic lighting in both the lid and base constructions to allow selective object illumination.
Access to the display interior is by a single door on one side of the case.
The base construction has a concealed compartment for the environment control that can be accessed without opening the display case.
The case also has both suspended and rear supported adjustable shelving systems (not used in this display) to allow a large variation in display potential
